All About Dog – Bath Day

I have started taking them out for walks together, using the long hunting lead. They have a ball, both of them enjoy themselves so much, and now House 5 is a family rest stop. They even get the chance to play a little, since the lead is so long.

He managed to lean against me for most of the bath. I could tell he was tired at the end, but it worked.

Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . .

  1. OMD!!! The looks on their faces when they’re in the middle of bathing says it all! They do NOT appreciate being clean and smelling “good”!! Clearly they love drying off in the sun and getting all dried off and massaged with their fluffy towels though!.

These are just delightful pictures of two very delightful AND delightfully well loved dogs!! 🙂

You do great “all about dog” days! It tickles me to know how much they enjoy “Rest Stop 5”! In fact, everything they do tickles me!

    Thanks for the smiles!

    Love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
