New Petco opened so we got matching bandanas. I have to admit that Otis wasn't that fond of his "completed chemo" bandana - must have smelled like vet hospital.

Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . .

  3. Congrats to Otis! 3 months is awesome. I recognized your dog from a reply left to my Dog and I on ‘share story’ page. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow for TANG, but 4 months since his tumor was discovered. Its a long time for me just to get him to the Amp. Its great to see Otis so happy! Congrats to the both of you, and thanks for the reply.

  5. There you go Otis, whooping it up! WHEEEE! Hoppy ampuversary!

Too cute with the leash lead. We love ours for Wyatt, it’s such a fun way to go crazy but with some control so you don’t hurt yourself.

I agree, you look dashing in red. xoxo
