Turns out the landscaping guys were right – there really is evidence of animals digging in my backyard!

Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . .

HMMM……..Gator, I hate to say it fella’, vut you have been. BUSTED!!! REALLY B.U.S.T.E.D!
Had it just been the discovery of the dirty paw (which, btw, you made no attempt to hide…that points ro your innocence), then that clearly is just circumstantial evidence. A good Defense Doggy Attorney could get yiur case dismissed in a heartbeat!! 🙂
HOWEVER, the photo of the dog that “appears” to be you digging in your yard….that’s pretty damming evidence Mr Gator!! Obviously there’s the possibility of that being a fake picture that was photoshopped!!! If I recall correctly, unfortunately, there are other photos of you nosing around under your deck, as well as your head low to the ground sniffing around in your shrubs.
I’d srill fight it though Gator! Then maybe make a plea bargin and hope just for yard arrest!
And the next time that tattletail backstabbing landscaping crew shows up…..bite and run!!!!
And btw, don’t know how it’s possible, but you get more and more handsome everytime I see you!
Love!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
hmmmm, I don’t know Gator. Circumstantial evidence is a little overwhelming…
And now I have to wonder if critters are digging in my yard – Roxy came to see me off to work the other morning with dirt all over her nose! Can’t imagine what it was from!
I’m so happy to see the most handsome of Gators – he looks great and happy!
hugs!
Teri and Roxy and Angel Isa
Gator never fear I’m here to defend you! That’s obviously a gopher or muskrat hole they dug and you are just checking out to keep Mom safe from them. And I must say a good job you do getting a big portion of your head “and paws” waaaay in there to make sure mr critter is gone. Of course your paws got dirty….they were in the hole! I challenge Sally and Teri to keep their “paws” clean whilst checking out a hole dug by “others”!! I rest our case! Gator….exonerated! Thanks for a Gator update Christine! We miss you guys!
