Hi, this is Tess. It has been a couple of weeks since I became an only dog (the cats don’t count). Here is what I have been up to. . .

Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . .

I am sure your mom will find that special buddy for you soon! That will be a great day for you both!
Aw, Tess. I am glad you have Mom and a cat to share a bed with at night, but our Mia would agree with you on being outdoors on your own being the pits. She does not care for it at all.
The right canine companion will hopefully come along soon!
Oh Tess! You are such a pretty, pretty gal! Very photogenic.
I don’t know why Otis hasn’t sent you someone yet. I think, in part, its been because he’s been fairly busy at the Bridge chasing squirrels a dd chipmunks up tnere. Ya’ see, he can chase them all dsy long and never get tired!!
Or, it coukd be he already has someone picked out, but the pup isn’t quite ready to be revealed hat for reasons only he and the pup know!
Thanks for letting us kniw what’s going on with you Tess! And LOVE the pictures! You are such a good model! 🙂
Love to you and yiur Mom
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Aw Tess, you have such a sweet, sweet face but you do look a little lonely. The thing is it’s not just any dog who can share their life with you. You’re a very special girl and you have to have a very special friend. Someone who can help you sort out all those cheeky squirrels and chipmunks, someone to curl up with you in the sun. There are loads of contenders, for sure, like literally thousands of dogs who would jump at the chance to share your life, but that’s what makes it so hard for Otis. He’s got to go through them all and decide which one is right to live with his Tess. It’s bound to take a little time, but it will be worth it. Just hold on.
Lots of love

Hi Tess. Good to see you again! Have you thought about what kind of companion you want? What’s the first thing you’ll show them? Maybe the two of you can play and Mom can rest and just watch the fun? Can’t wait for your next update! Deb and Baby Bandit

Tess,
I am sure Otis will lead the right baby to you & your mom. I know it is hard to be an only furbaby. Thinking of both of you
