Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . . View all posts by otisandtess

Awww, Christine. It warms my heart to see how happy Gator looks in his forever home and how happy you look to have him there. Otis and Tess should be so proud!

He looks so awesome. These pictures are so wonderful. That last picture looks like he is spotting a squirrel or something. Thank you for sharing the update 🙂

Yes, he was looking for squirrels the whole time we were trying to take the photo. Unfortunately, there were only 2 shots where he smiled and looked at the camera, and in those, my eyes were shut or something equally unflattering.
Gorgeous happy pics of both of you. So lovely to see. And that one of Gator in his blissed out coma Awwwwwwww!
This post and all these beautiful photos delight my heart. I am so happy for Gator and your family.
What a gorgeous hunk of dog he is…

What a great comment – He really is a big hunk of dog, meant in the sweetest way possible.
Great update, pictures are beautiful. And of course, you must choose the pic that is most flattering to you, Gator understands this. So happy for you all.
