Otis’ “baby” photos

I took a couple of days off when we adopted Otis to help him get accustomed to our family. We spent most of it outside - I am not sure if he had much exposure to green stuff before.

He was about 6 months old, and so thin.

Seeing the photos now, it amazes me how much younger he looks.

Otis, an 8 year old 106 lb. lab/Dane mix, became a Tripawd on February 9, 2016 after his right front leg broke due to osteosarcoma. We did 4 rounds of carboplatin, but lung mets were discovered on Agust 25, and he passed on September 4. Otis was half of a bonded pair, and his adopted sister Tess, passed suddenly of hemangiosarcoma on October 9. The day before Tess passed, a local lab rescue group had identfied Gator, a 120 pound 6 year old yellow in need of a home, as a potential companion for her. His picture was on my phone, and my house needed a dog. . .

  2. OMD!!! OTIS, YOU ARE SO DARN CUTE!!

You are one lanky and lean looking youngster! And sooooo lucky to have such a loving furever home!

I love the little “look” he’s giving the camera out of the corner of his eye. You can just tell he’s got tons of fun personality!

    Thanks for the smiles! 🙂

    Hugs!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

  3. I just love the one under the tree! Murphy loves to lay under our blue spruce trees too, but there’s a big space under the branches, enough space that we can walk under them lol You’re so handsome Otis!
